I turned thirty-one last week! I can’t believe that I’m now entering the world of the 30s. Before the clock turned 12 am, I read some health articles and advice for women in their 30s… Naah, I already read that last year, hehe! Before the D-day, I went to the gym in the evening, had a light post-workout meal, and waited until 12 am so I could eat my birthday cake. These are the things that I got for my birthday this year: Had a haircut Booked a trip to India for 2023 Rescheduled my Japan trip to 2023 Paid the last installment for my summer 2022 trip Bought return…

Cuba Tour: From Ballet Schools to Art Galleries of Camagüey
This week I feel like talking about art, so let’s explore Camagüey, the third-largest city in Cuba! The city is all about art — from ballet schools, art galleries, to random art installations on the streets. If you’re an art lover, you should visit Camagüey and get some from one of the art galleries. For those who have a bigger travel budget, perhaps a memento from Martha Jiménez, a famous, award-winning Cuban artist who won the UNESCO Distinction for the National Culture in 1997. Okay, I’m getting excited now. Where should I start? 😁 So, I took a 15-day Cuba tour with Cuban Adventures back in 2018. We explored Camagüey on…

The Love Lesson that Every Single Woman Should Know
Alright, this week’s blog post is gonna be short and sweet. Yes, it’s about something that I seldom share on my blog but I feel that I MUST share this love lesson to save women, especially those in their early twenties and who are single. One day, I had a great conversation with a highly intelligent man. We talked about many things and at one point we discussed relationships. Since I’m single, I playfully asked if he could introduce me to his friends who are single (or divorced). Alas, all of his friends are married. I guess once women reach their late twenties, some people will ask when they would…

The Bamboo Riverboat Show and Ride in Hoi An, Vietnam
Hola, amigos! This week I wanna share about a unique bamboo riverboat show and trip that I had when travelling in Hoi An, Vietnam. Where did I get the inspiration from? So, I was looking at old emails in my inbox and found a quotation of a personalised Vietnam trip that I asked for many years ago — but haven’t made it until now. When I looked at the itinerary, I wanted to remove the Day-10 activity, which is a sampan ride along the Mekong river, because I had a similar boat ride when I was in Hoi An. And, mine was even better as it’s a bamboo riverboat! Not…

The Marble Mountains in Da Nang & Some Thoughts About Homosexuality
Honestly, I don’t know what to write this week. I’ve been busy and happy with my new routine: work-dance-fitness-repeat ❤️ But somehow, the memory of my trip to the Marble Mountains in Da Nang crossed my mind. I’m very fond of the cover photo of this blog post. It was just a few minutes of me admiring the scenery, right after I walked out of the elevator. Yes, there’s an elevator, but you’ll still need to climb 156 steps of the stairway that leads to the summit of Thuy Son (the only Marble Mountain which is accessible to visitors). I don’t know why, but at that time, it felt so…

Now We Can Dine-in, What to Eat in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor?
Now that Kuala Lumpur and Selangor are in Phase 2 of MCO (Movement Control Order), the Malaysian government announced that inter-district travel and dine-in are allowed. As a foodie, that means I can cross districts to eat my favourite foods ?? Before this, I always (and still) used a food delivery app to order my lunch and dinner – which is one of my company’s amazing benefits. It’s very convenient, but sadly the riders can’t deliver food from other districts. So you can imagine how happy I was when the restrictions were lifted! I no longer have to depend on the delivery riders, but can personally go to my favourite…

Bandung Trip – The White Crater, Tangkuban Perahu & Food Hunting
Hi friends!! It was only 2 weeks ago I dreamed about travelling and now Langkawi is gonna be opened for domestic tourists on 16 September 2021. It’s a very good sign and a ray of hope for international travelers to return next year. So… hang on! ??? Meanwhile, I’m still homesick so this week I decided to share about my Bandung trip back in 2012. Honestly, I travelled to Bandung, Indonesia mainly for wisata kuliner aka food hunting, but there are still many places that you shouldn’t miss such as Kawah Putih (the White Crater) and Tangkuban Perahu. Since it was a short trip and done many years ago, this…

Ba Na Hills, a Beautiful French Resort in Da Nang, Vietnam
If there’s one place that’s been popping into my mind, it’s Ba Na Hills, an Instagrammable resort in Da Nang, central Vietnam. I’ve written a little bit about this joyful place before, but I feel I didn’t do it justice by just publishing its photos of beautiful flowers. True, this place is designed like a little French town with beautiful flowers everywhere, but there are many things to see and do there, such as: The coastal city of Da Nang has a French colonial history, that’s why the Sun World group built Ba Na Hills with a fusion touch of French and Chinese. There’s a beautiful Chinese bridge adorned with…
