Alright, this week’s blog post is gonna be short and sweet. Yes, it’s about something that I seldom share on my blog but I feel that I MUST share this love lesson to save women, especially those in their early twenties and who are single. One day, I had a great conversation with a highly intelligent man. We talked about many things and at one point we discussed relationships. Since I’m single, I playfully asked if he could introduce me to his friends who are single (or divorced). Alas, all of his friends are married. I guess once women reach their late twenties, some people will ask when they would…

Wanderlust, Behind the Scene
This week, I feel like sharing my life behind the scene — behind the travel photos that I shared. If Instagram has “Instagram vs Reality”, this post will be similar. The purpose of this behind-the-scene topic is to motivate all salarymen who love travelling, like me 💪 Many people think I come from a rich family background, seeing that I travel often. The truth is, I’m just an average office employee who pays her bills + rent, has parents to support, and meticulously manages her finances so she can travel, plus still invests some money every month. Luckily, I have a sister so we can share the expenses! There’s always…

The Bamboo Riverboat Show and Ride in Hoi An, Vietnam
Hola, amigos! This week I wanna share about a unique bamboo riverboat show and trip that I had when travelling in Hoi An, Vietnam. Where did I get the inspiration from? So, I was looking at old emails in my inbox and found a quotation of a personalised Vietnam trip that I asked for many years ago — but haven’t made it until now. When I looked at the itinerary, I wanted to remove the Day-10 activity, which is a sampan ride along the Mekong river, because I had a similar boat ride when I was in Hoi An. And, mine was even better as it’s a bamboo riverboat! Not…

Marchfelderhof — A Magical, Must-Visit Restaurant in Austria
I may have had only 1 short day to explore Vienna, Austria back in 2015. But what makes the town memorable is the unique dinner experience at Marchfelderhof. I’m not exaggerating the blog’s title when I said this restaurant is “magical” and a “must-visit”, soon you’ll know why. Located in the romantic countryside, the warm and cozy Marchfelderhof has opened its doors since the Napoleon I era and was is a locals’ culinary tip that attracts big names, from kings, celebrities, and politicians, to nobility from all over the world. We’re talking about really, really BIG shots here such as King Constantine of Greece, King Faruk of Egypt and Liz…

Now We Can Dine-in, What to Eat in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor?
Now that Kuala Lumpur and Selangor are in Phase 2 of MCO (Movement Control Order), the Malaysian government announced that inter-district travel and dine-in are allowed. As a foodie, that means I can cross districts to eat my favourite foods ?? Before this, I always (and still) used a food delivery app to order my lunch and dinner – which is one of my company’s amazing benefits. It’s very convenient, but sadly the riders can’t deliver food from other districts. So you can imagine how happy I was when the restrictions were lifted! I no longer have to depend on the delivery riders, but can personally go to my favourite…

Bandung Trip – The White Crater, Tangkuban Perahu & Food Hunting
Hi friends!! It was only 2 weeks ago I dreamed about travelling and now Langkawi is gonna be opened for domestic tourists on 16 September 2021. It’s a very good sign and a ray of hope for international travelers to return next year. So… hang on! ??? Meanwhile, I’m still homesick so this week I decided to share about my Bandung trip back in 2012. Honestly, I travelled to Bandung, Indonesia mainly for wisata kuliner aka food hunting, but there are still many places that you shouldn’t miss such as Kawah Putih (the White Crater) and Tangkuban Perahu. Since it was a short trip and done many years ago, this…

The Pandemic Pushed Me to Do Things I’ve Been Delaying for Years
If there’s one thing that I’ve been delaying for so many years, it’s exploring Indonesia. The pandemic makes me feel the ‘itch’ to do it. But now, even if I wanted to, I can’t travel to Indonesia because of the international travel restriction. Yes, although I myself am an Indonesian, I haven’t explored my wonderful country a lot – except for some famous places such as Bali, Bandung, Jogja, Toraja and Raja Ampat. If you check out the “Countries” tab of my website, you won’t see many posts about Indonesia. I’ve been delaying this dream because I wanted to “aim high” aka travel to far, far away places that require…

Day Trip and Bar Crawling in Tallinn, Estonia
I guess some of you must be disappointed after reading the news of the PM’s announcement. I know, right? But don’t worry! For a few minutes, let’s escape to a Medieval world and join an epic bar crawl in Tallinn, Estonia. For those who aren’t staying in Malaysia, two days ago was like a meme for some people, including me. I was smilling from ear to ear reading news about the prime minister’s announcement, with clickbaity titles such as “interstate travel allowed”, and “dine-in allowed” for those who had completed both vaccine doses. But then apparently it’s only for 9 states, lol… Because there was an announcement about the announcement,…
