Hi friends!! It was only 2 weeks ago I dreamed about travelling and now Langkawi is gonna be opened for domestic tourists on 16 September 2021. It’s a very good sign and a ray of hope for international travelers to return next year. So… hang on! ??? Meanwhile, I’m still homesick so this week I decided to share about my Bandung trip back in 2012. Honestly, I travelled to Bandung, Indonesia mainly for wisata kuliner aka food hunting, but there are still many places that you shouldn’t miss such as Kawah Putih (the White Crater) and Tangkuban Perahu. Since it was a short trip and done many years ago, this…

The Pandemic Pushed Me to Do Things I’ve Been Delaying for Years
If there’s one thing that I’ve been delaying for so many years, it’s exploring Indonesia. The pandemic makes me feel the ‘itch’ to do it. But now, even if I wanted to, I can’t travel to Indonesia because of the international travel restriction. Yes, although I myself am an Indonesian, I haven’t explored my wonderful country a lot – except for some famous places such as Bali, Bandung, Jogja, Toraja and Raja Ampat. If you check out the “Countries” tab of my website, you won’t see many posts about Indonesia. I’ve been delaying this dream because I wanted to “aim high” aka travel to far, far away places that require…

Day Trip and Bar Crawling in Tallinn, Estonia
I guess some of you must be disappointed after reading the news of the PM’s announcement. I know, right? But don’t worry! For a few minutes, let’s escape to a Medieval world and join an epic bar crawl in Tallinn, Estonia. For those who aren’t staying in Malaysia, two days ago was like a meme for some people, including me. I was smilling from ear to ear reading news about the prime minister’s announcement, with clickbaity titles such as “interstate travel allowed”, and “dine-in allowed” for those who had completed both vaccine doses. But then apparently it’s only for 9 states, lol… Because there was an announcement about the announcement,…

Ba Na Hills, a Beautiful French Resort in Da Nang, Vietnam
If there’s one place that’s been popping into my mind, it’s Ba Na Hills, an Instagrammable resort in Da Nang, central Vietnam. I’ve written a little bit about this joyful place before, but I feel I didn’t do it justice by just publishing its photos of beautiful flowers. True, this place is designed like a little French town with beautiful flowers everywhere, but there are many things to see and do there, such as: The coastal city of Da Nang has a French colonial history, that’s why the Sun World group built Ba Na Hills with a fusion touch of French and Chinese. There’s a beautiful Chinese bridge adorned with…

Clara & the Chasing Grandma of Christiania, Copenhagen
Are you thinking to visit Denmark? If a trip to Amsterdam isn’t complete without visitting the Red Light District and perhaps, sampling a space brownie or smoking weed, then a trip to Copenhagen, the capital city of Denmark, isn’t complete without visitting Christiania. What comes to your mind when you hear “Copenhagen”? The birth town of Hans Christian Andersen and The Little Mermaid? The yummy butter biscuits in a round tin? I thought so too, but after the Northern Europe trip, Christiania comes #1 to my mind – thanks to the unique memory! Freetown Christiania or Christiania is a controversial community in the borough of Christianshavn, Copenhagen. In short, this…

Why You Should Fear Regret More Than Rejection
Let me ask you a question: which one is scarier – being rejected or wasting months/years feeling regret? On paper, some of you may say, “of course wasting my time regretting something I didn’t do!”, but when it comes to reality, are you sure? Last week, I got the oomph, signs, feeling – whatever you call it – to finally ask my crush out for a drink. Like, just to get to know each other. But before that, I reached out to my no-nonsense guy friend for his opinion. In short, he encouraged me to go for it. “It’s 1-in-9-billion-people luck, you are the performer. Go for it!” After weeks…

The Desperado Commando
Last week, I had an unpleasant experience with a pervert stalker. Ah, I should say it was a horror-comedy incident, as it left me terrified AND amused at the same time! So, this pervert is an exhibitionist — which means he feels sexually satisfied by exposing his private part to a stranger. Luckily, last week the man was in commando so I didn’t have to bear such obscene (no consent = obscene!) Commando (sexual slang) When you’re not wearing any underwear underneath your outer clothes. If I would cut the story short, he pretended to ask for direction but then started to please himself in front of me. I ran…

Visitting Che Guevara Mausoleum in Santa Clara & Cienfuegos Day Trip, Cuba
Where should we go this week, amigos? What about a historical day trip to the Che Guevara Mausoleum in Santa Clara and some interesting destinations in Cienfuegos? April is coming soon! It’s always a special month because back in 2018, I took the longest flight ever to Cuba. If you fly to Cuba just for Havana, trust me, you’ll REGRET it. The country is famous for its history, with Che Guevara Mausoleum as one of the must-visit destinations. Santa Clara was founded in 1689 by families who were running from pirate threats in coastal Remedios. Besides the memorial place, I’ll also take you to Cienfuegos, a small town about 1…
