Hi friends! I hope you’re healthy. I’ve been down with the backward flu and cough for weeks π£ But no worries! Today, I’ll take you for wine tasting in Stari Grad, Croatia π·β¨π
Last week was a bag of mixed feelings for me. Something made me down, but other events made me happy. Well, that’s life, it’s up and down!
When I was browsing my travel photos, looking for inspiration on what to write for the new blog post, I found the photos I took in Stari Grad, one of the oldest towns in Europe comforting.
Indeed, it was a relaxing and joyful day π

Looking at the photos of my new friends and the lovely memories in Stari Grad made me feel better. The quaint old town, the wine tasting, then ending the day with Captain’s Night on the cruise…
By the way, did you know that I finished exploring the town in around… 45 minutes??
Really, there was only one long road, sandwiched between beautiful cafes and the sea. Luckily we arrived after lunch. Otherwise, I wouldn’t know what to do until dinner!

Double luck, the weather was perfect – sunny and windy, but not too windy. I saw many old, beautiful buildings and cafes that could’ve been there since the 1300s.
Since there was nothing much to do in the town, I signed up for Stari Grad wine tasting, which was held at the Stari Grad Plain, a UNESCO protected World Heritage site.
Although I avoid alcoholic drinks, I like wine tasting because of the ambiance and experience.

I enjoy hearing stories about different wines, especially when they are paired with cheese or food. Usually, I will ask the host to pour just a liiiitle bit of wine into my glass.
Or, I’ll keep quiet and then pour most of my wines into my friends’ glasses – which they gladly accept!πππ

Stari Grad Wine Tasting, Croatia

It’s time to sample some Croatian wines! At around 4pm, a minivan picked us up and transported us to Ager Wine Field, a UNESCO protected area.
Since the minivan was very small, we were split into two batches. I was happy to be in the first batch. Since I arrived earlier, I had more time to wander around the Ager Wine Field and take photos.
If you plan to explore Croatia, put Stari Grad wine tasting on your list because the experience was worth it. The ambiance was relaxing and nice, plus the host was very knowledgeable.

Oh, by the way, the Stari Grad wine tasting lasted for 1.5 hours and cost β¬30 per person. This was the price given by my cruise, you can have this information as a reference π
Once the second batch arrived, the host brought a welcome drink for us. If I’m not mistaken, it was a cherry rum shot πβ¨π·
It was very nice but quite strong, so I gave half of mine to my friend.

Next, the waiter came with local cheese, snack plates, fresh bread, and various olive oil. We had a chance to sample four different wines during the Stari Grad wine tasting at the Ager Wine Field.
We had a good time listening to the host, sharing stories, and laughing.

I didn’t take many photos of myself during the wine tasting, because I wanted to enjoy the moment. I already had some before the activity started, so I captured my friends’ emotions through my lens.
Alright, I hope you enjoyed this blog post, or precisely, photo album of my Stari Grad wine tasting in Croatia πΈππ·
