I guess some of you must be disappointed after reading the news of the PM’s announcement. I know, right? But don’t worry! For a few minutes, let’s escape to a Medieval world and join an epic bar crawl in Tallinn, Estonia.
For those who aren’t staying in Malaysia, two days ago was like a meme for some people, including me. I was smilling from ear to ear reading news about the prime minister’s announcement, with clickbaity titles such as “interstate travel allowed”, and “dine-in allowed” for those who had completed both vaccine doses.
But then apparently it’s only for 9 states, lol… Because there was an announcement about the announcement, I thought it would be something big enough to celebrate
Anyway, I went to Tallinn, Estonia, in 2017 with a tour group. Tallinn is a small and peaceful city, thus I was surprised when the tour leader told us that she’s the organizer of The Epic Bar Crawl Tallinn.
The city may be small, but it has so many bars!
Of course, I and some friends wouldn’t want to miss the chance. We had only 1 night there, after all! We went to 4 different bars, each had its own uniqueness.
I realized that I was kinda a letdown because I didn’t drink much throughout the bar crawling. I was persistent to keep my alcohol amount low because I cared about my health, especially when it comes to my skin.
One guy literally told me that if I lost in the card game I must drink, haha… He must felt it was unfair that the others asked me to join the game without drinking, and I got him punished too haha
After working hard to fund my Europe trip, it felt good to gather with fellow travellers and had fun. Ahh… I miss the happy moments!
Although it was a very short trip, the city left a good impression and memory. Besides some photos that I’m about to show you, who would’ve guessed that Tallinn…
- offers free Wi-Fi everywhere
- transports you to a fairytale world
- has more than 60 museums and galleries
- Tallinn’s Old Town is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage
- has monk statues that make Harry Potter and LOTR fans excited
- is a charming little town, a combination of Medieval and modern eras
- is the Silicon Valley of Europe (it has the most startups per person in Europe)
- has one of the oldest pharmacies in Europe, running since the early 15th century
Actually, there are so many things that you can do and see in Tallinn, Estonia, more than the photos you’ve seen above.
If I had the chance to revisit Estonia, I’d explore its nature, galleries and have a gastronomy adventure. This is why I love travelling so much. Recalling the experiences makes me happy
What do you think of Tallinn? Let me know in the comment!
