Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone! ๐๐๐
I’ve been waiting for this day. Finally, I could meet the Crown Prince of Piano, Maksim Mrvica, in person and watch his concert. Yaaaaay!!! ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ
Last Valentine’s Day was like:
Me: “Do you want to be my boyfriend?”
Someone: “I have a girlfriend.”
Me: “Okay.”
I may sound like it was all good but actually, that stung a bit. However, I feel grateful to have a happy-go-lucky personality. And for past love experiences.
After so many heartbreaks, I guess it’s now easier to move on #thisis30s
Thank you, next! ๐
Alright, since I’m in a lovey-dovey mood, this week I wanna share some thoughts that may be useful for you.
But before that, thank you very much Exness, for giving me a generous birthday ang pao aka red packet last month. The amount covered almost 50% of my SVIP concert ticket ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐๐๐
The White Lotus (Season 2): Your Love & Marriage Lessons in TV Series
Okay, the first few episodes are a bit boring. But trust me, keep watching, the story gets better.
At first, I thought, “Oh so this is how the riches spend their money on holidays, what a beautiful dress, eh โ the producer doesn’t bother to cover their private parts” ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
I thought the drama-comedy series lacked substance until I continued watching and realized that it was packed with love and marriage lessons.
Not forgetting the artistic direction (reminded me of the “Hanibal” series)!
It was about a group of rich people who went to Taormina, Sicily, and live in a luxury hotel, The White Lotus.
Then, there were two local girls who became escorts to reach their dreams (cafe owner and singer).
All of the characters had their own problems. This TV series taught me:
- Not to quickly judge or trust people
- Always be honest ASAP with my future hubby
- Not to brush off things that my partner says (else in the future, he might keep it from me)
- Take someone’s “negative” opinion as additional information
- What happens at home will affect the kids
- Be careful with strangers who are being too nice, too soon
- To stay away from frenemies. It’s ok to have a small circle of friends than be surrounded by people who actually think that you’re annoying and talk behind your back
P.S. Don’t watch this series in public places… or with your parents/kids๐

Love the Earth (and Your Wallet): Recycling Done Right
I love Innisfree products! They make my skin glows and the company encourages its customers to bring back empty packaging for recycling (and collect points).
The skincare products that I usually recycle are in glass bottles. But recently, I thought that my face wash was already finished.
Then, I remembered what Innisfree taught me when it came to recycling its non-glass packaging. First, I had to cut them into two, then wash and dry them.
As you can see in the video and images above, actually it wasn’t finished yet. The cream was stuck.
I almost threw it away!! ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎ
So guys, remember to cut open this type of skincare packaging before you throw it away๐

Be Happy: Mastering the Art of Not Giving a F*** from Wednesday Addams
Wednesday Addams has mastered the art of not giving a f***. She’s confident in her own skin and doesn’t care about what people think of her.
Sometimes, when I feel low, I will see her as my role model.
Obviously, we shouldn’t put other people in danger or hurt others to reach our goals…
If you haven’t watched the TV series “Wednesday”, it’s really cool! Tim Burton’s works always fascinate me, it all begins with Edward Scissorhands ๐๐๐
As someone who was born with the Metal Horse Chinese zodiac sign, I could be very straightforward, honest, and stubborn. I hurt people unintentionally or without realising it.
Sometimes, I could also be intense and find difficulties keeping a poker face, like Harper or Valentina in the White Lotus. I know it’s not nice…
Even I thought so too about them when watching the series๐
Moreover, I don’t bother to explain myself when sensing that I’m being misunderstood, unless it’s necessary for me to do so.
So… Nowadays I’m doing self-reflection, taking notes of what to improve…
But honestly, we can’t please everyone. And improving ourselves takes time.
What about you? What stops you from being happy?
Maybe you’re feeling peer pressure? Thinking that you’re not good enough, why your life is so ordinary, why can’t you be as successful or beautiful as X, Y, Z…
If you feel so, I recommend reading “The Leader Who Had No Title” by Robin Sharma. This book is an eye-opener and would make you shift your perspective.
I guess you heard the saying “your job doesn’t define you” etc which is supposed to make you feel better. But Robin Sharma shows you what success is, in an unconventional way.
For example, one of the characters in the book is a housekeeper named Anna. She doesn’t think that what she’s doing is a lowly job.
To her, she’s responsible to keep the hotel clean and welcoming, giving the best hospitality to the guest. You see, she’s thinking as if she’s the hotel owner. She gave her all to her job.
As a result, she goes to work in a good mood and does a great job. She is loved by the guests and the management.
She’s not just a housekeeper, she’s the employee who helps the hotel builds great branding.
So, how to be happy?
The next time you feel anxious, pressured, or low… stay positive and think of Wednesday Addams.
Give your all in what you’re doing. Be grateful, stay positive, and don’t give a f*** of what others think of you. Have a wonderful week!๐ค๐ค๐ค
