Hola, amigos! This week I wanna share about a unique bamboo riverboat show and trip that I had when travelling in Hoi An, Vietnam.
Where did I get the inspiration from?
So, I was looking at old emails in my inbox and found a quotation of a personalised Vietnam trip that I asked for many years ago — but haven’t made it until now.
When I looked at the itinerary, I wanted to remove the Day-10 activity, which is a sampan ride along the Mekong river, because I had a similar boat ride when I was in Hoi An.
And, mine was even better as it’s a bamboo riverboat!
Not only the shape of the bamboo riverboats are unique, but the locals who helped us to row the boat also created an unexpected show for us.
You’ll see about it from the photos, but first things first. Let’s see some mouth-watering Vietnamese foods 😋😍
After lunch, we watched a solo bamboo riverboat show, performed by a boatman. The restaurant gave us iced lemongrass tea to accompany us, it was very refreshing as the weather was very hot.
We watched how the thin man rocked the bamboo riverboat with his body.
It was entertaining! No matter how violent he rocked the boat, no water got into it and he didn’t fall into the river.

I hope you enjoy reading this post. I can’t wait to visit Vietnam again, I’ve never been to Halong Bay! If you plan to go to Hoi An, remember to try this unique bamboo riverboat show and ride.
Happy Deepavali in advance and have a great week, everyone!
