This week, let me take you to the Netherlands to visit Clara Maria Cheese Farm & Clog Factory!
On Saturday, I went to Pavilion Mall and had a chance to sample a very nice cheese biscuit hence the inspiration for this week’s blog post 😋🧀
The name of the shop was Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory (even the name sounds yummy!) and I tasted their salt & camembert biscuit. The biscuit was milky and the cheese in the middle was thick.
It was pure bliss💖💖💖
Of course, with such quality, the price of the biscuit wasn’t cheap. The biscuit is sold at RM45 for 10 pieces (at the time this article is written).
Fair enough considering they’re using Hokkaido Jersey milk, French Guérande Salt, and Camembert Cheese. I’ll get them one day for a celebration…
Gouda Cheese Tasting at Clara Maria Cheese Farm & Clog Factory, Netherlands
Okay, back to Clara Maria Cheese Farm & Clog Factory. When you travel to the Netherlands, make sure to drop by this place for cheese tasting and see how clogs are made.
I always remember one fine morning in Amsterdam when the tour bus stopped at this place. I didn’t know that “I” had such a big farm in the Netherlands 😂😂
Clara and her husband personally took us around for a tour. They showed us the process of making cheese and demonstrated how to create traditional Dutch clogs.
That was the first time I saw and touched a giant Gouda cheese. And it didn’t stop there. They even let us sample a variety of Gouda cheeses!
The cheeses at this place are special because of the additional ingredients and herbs.
Some of their specialties are chili cheese, garlic & chive cheese, Italian-herb cheese, ginger cheese, nettle cheese, and truffle cheese.
I just had my breakfast before arriving but when in the Netherlands, there will always be a room for cheese — especially high-quality cheeses like the ones in Clara Maria!

Clog Workshop at Clara Maria Cheese Farm & Clog Factory, Netherlands
Actually, we had the clog workshop first before we went for cheese tasting. But for this blog post, I can’t wait to share with you the cheese tasting experience, so I switched the order 😁
This time, Clara’s husband was the one who showed us how they made the clogs. From the photos, you could tell that both of them love their job very much!

Souvenirs to Buy at Clara Maria Cheese Farm & Clog Factory, Netherlands
Wondering if you can buy some cheeses home? Of course!
Don’t worry about your luggage limit. At Clara Maria Cheese Farm & Clog Factory, you can choose the size of the cheese that you want, be it 0.5 kg, 1kg, or 2kg.
Besides cheeses, you can find wooden clogs in a variety of sizes. Oh, the place also sells many Dutch souvenirs. There you go — a one-stop place for cheese tasting, clog workshop, and shopping! 😊
Feeling happy after sampling the cheeses, I went outside for a short walk while waiting for the rest of the group to finish their shopping.
Not far away from the cheese farm, there was a beautiful lake with a cottage in the middle, surrounded by flowers.
The scenery was so beautiful, so I decided to truly embrace the moment. I went closer to smell the flowers and feel the warmth of the morning sun.
Whoever owns the cottage in the middle of the lake, that person must be happy to be able to see this beautiful, picturesque view every day!
I didn’t remember when was the last time I stopped to smell flowers in Malaysia. But after that day, whenever I see flowers on the street, I will take the chance.
I just had my dinner when writing this article. But honestly, I feel there’s still room for some cheeses, hehe… I think I would be counting cheeses in my dream tonight 😊🧀❤️
So friends, if you love cheese, remember to visit Clara Maria Cheese Farm & Clog Factory when travelling to the Netherlands. Have a great week ahead!
