Happy belated Earth Day 2020! Sorry for the late blog post, I was busy preparing for something important and not feeling well… but! I’m so happy that Google made Earth Day, which falls on 22 April, educated and FUN! Also, the Earth Day Doodle game reminds me of the beautiful Mirabell Gardens in Salzburg, Austria. Google’s Earth Day 2020 Doodle Bee Game In case you were too busy WFH yesterday and didn’t open Google at all, you’re missing going to enjoy the Bee game now that you’re free. I thought we could only play the game yesterday, but I did it again today, hehe! Basically, we’re helping a cute honeybee…

Happy Easter from Hill of Crosses, Lithuania
Happy Easter to my Catholic and Christian friends! I wish I could say it from Hill of Crosses, Lithuania, but I’m staying at home. I hope you’re practising the social distancing too 🙂 Hill of Crosses is a pilgrimage site in northern Lithuania. As you can see from my cover photo, there are hundreds of thousands of crosses, rosaries and other religious-related things on the hills (Wikipedia says there are 100,000 crosses in 2006). Cinque Terre, a Walk to Remember in Italy
COVID-19, be gone! It took me some time to get inspiration for what to write about for this week’s blog post. I miss walking outside so much thus I decided to write about my one-day adventure in Cinque Terre, Italy. It was a very long walk and tiring, yet made me so happy. Oh, how I wish to experience it again, especially at times like this! Cinque Terre is the postcard image of colourful buildings on top of a cliff with a beautiful blue sea that some of you may have seen on Google. The must-visit destination in Italy is located on the rugged Italian Riviera coastline and consists of…

Палкинъ — Palkin, Where You Can Find the Best Beef Stroganoff in St. Petersburg
The Coronavirus quarantine really makes me miss travelling. Hence, my past travel photos come to the rescue! The further the country is, the better it is mending my travel bug bites. Some foods are better eaten on the spot than be delivered, really… this inspired me to write about Палкинъ (Palkin), an amazing restaurant in St. Petersburg, Russia, where you can find the best beef stroganoff. Beef stroganoff is one of the Russian traditional dishes, made of strips of beef and mushroom in a creamy sauce. The dish is served with potato, rice or noodles. If you’re a fan of carbonara or creamy dishes, it’s a must-try when in Russia!…

A Stranger in Moscow
A rainy day reminded me of Moscow back in 2018 and one of my favourite Michael Jackson songs, “Stranger in Moscow”. After the 4-hour bullet train ride from St.Petersburg to Moscow, my tour group was welcomed by a heavy storm and 4ºC weather. However, the weather didn’t stop us to explore the city, especially the Red Square thus we continued with the walking tour #dedication During the tour, the song “Stranger in Moscow” kept playing in my head. I feel it’s beautiful and emotional… although up until now I don’t remember the lyrics. One thing I knew, I was cold! Even when it was raining heavily and the wind pierced…

A Rainy Day at Penglipuran, Bali, One of the World’s Cleanest Villages
Two reasons that make Bali so enchanting to tourists even Indonesians are the culture and architecture. The architecture boasts a centuries-old style of design that’s heavily influenced by Bali’s Hindu tradition, especially the temples. If you’ve seen most of the temples in Bali, I encourage you to visit Penglipuran, Bangli, Bali. Recognised as the World’s Third Cleanest Village 2016 alongside Giethoorn (Netherlands) and Mawlynnong, the small village will definitely charm you. I heard about this village from my mom, who has been urging me to visit it. After a year or two, finally, I managed to see it with my own eyes. And with a plus-one 😉 Penglipuran derives from…

Galentine’s Day at Sea Rock Villa, Bentota, Sri Lanka
It’s the lovey-dovey month again (yes, FEBRUARY) and the sky has been gloomy these days. Come on, we need sunshine to welcome Valentine’s day! In February 2019, I went to Sri Lanka for a 6 days solo trip and enjoyed it to the max. The travel agent arranged a one-night stay at Sea Rock Villa, Bentota before my last day and I found myself thinking, “Yes! I deserved this!”. Bentota is a resort town with clean, private beaches, comfortable resorts and is less packed. It’s a contrast to Hikkaduwa, which is as busy as Kuta (Bali). If you’re thinking to have Valentine’s Day trip to Sri Lanka with your bae,…
